ARTIST PROFILE
 Rohan Bhatnagar
As a tiny tot, he was a prodigy adept at playing the piano. At sixteen, Rohan Bhatnagar became proficient enough to perform at various concerts in and around Nigeria. Rohan who is quite familiar with Western music had learnt music at the Trinity College of Music in London for five years. After his formal musical training in western music, Rohan went on to train himself in Indian classical music under Gautam Mukherjee (from the legendary Hemant Kumar family). “Music can never be fully learned” says Rohan and believes that his musical knowledge will keep growing under his guru’s guidance. After living his entire life in Africa, the one thing that Rohan has taken most from Africa is its music. The entire concept of beats, rap, reggae and the African flavor of music has been absorbed by Rohan over 18 years. His close contact with the very source of rhythm, melody and dance (Africa) is what enriches his music and is evident in his songs as well. A sophomore in college, Rohan has been working side by side on his album while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida. He is also pursuing minors in Mathematics and Computer Science alongside his Bachelor’s degree.        Rohan’s debut album, Dholna, is now available everywhere music is sold, distributed by Universal Music India. Rohan feels very bullish about his album and says that today’s youth will relate whole heartedly with the his style of music. The album is about the emotions of this generation and each of the songs is so unique in its mood that the whole compilation represents a complete and compelling possession for its target audience. “Today you have to provide a colourful combination of melody and beats.” Rohan adds as an after thought. “I believe I have an all round voice and hence can sing all kinds of numbers, slow and lilting ones as well as fast paced rap numbers with equal ease. Playing piano has helped me immensely with timing and perfection of notes and are the most vital aspects of singing”
