Branded as India’s first and only boy band, A Band of Boys is made up of four multi-talented guys who are diverse in every sense of the word. They are multitalented, since besides music they pursue their individual careers too. However, it is their love of music which binds them together. Karan Oberoi, Chin2 Bhosle, Sherrin Verghese and Siddharth Haldipur form the band, which attained huge popularity with its debut album Yeh Bhi Woh Bhi featuring the smash hit ‘Meri Neend'. The album's music was composed by Leslie Lewis and all the tracks were sung by the 4 boys. The album was released in August 2002 and had obtained a phenomenal response (with the song 'Meri Neend' spearheading the sales!) subsequently leading to sales crossing 1,00,000 units in less then a fortnight of its launch! The album did so well that the music company, Musicurry, produced two more videos and re-released the album as Gori with the song 'Gori' spearheading the sales this time!
ABOB’s debut film, Kiss Kis Ko, was released in October 2004 with the boys not just having starred in it but having composed the music themselves! Within 3 weeks of the music release, the album flew off the shelves.
While ABOB are essentially singers, they have been trained in all aspects of stagecraft culminating in their stage shows being something to watch out for – the boys sing, dance & act, and their shows are modeled on Broadway performances abroad. While Hindi music (Indipop and film music) is their forte, they also sing English numbers.
